For
illustrating this section, we can produce on request a large size HD poster (up
to 180x100 cm in size). These posters will need to be adapted to each country,
on a case-by-case basis, in order to prominently feature local specificities.
There is plenty of room for a poster on
coconut dance: Polynesian dancers with their famous coconut leaf costumes and coconut
bras; Sri Lankan dancers who juggle with coconut palm blossoms; the joyous
madness of Filipino dancers; the coconuts that clash during Cambodian dances;
Until, in the Rossendale Valley, a curious and anachronistic band of old English
fellows who painted themselves black and proclaimed themselves “coconut
dancers” …
